Well-being Checks

We are living in the era of the sandwich generation – adult children are still raising their own children but also having to be caregivers for their aging parents.  Trying to meet all those demands is exhausting.  A Single Ray of Hope can be that resource for both the adult children and the elderly parents. 

A Single Ray of Hope provides well-being checks to seniors in their home or in nursing homes.  We visit clients, see how they are doing, listen to them, find out what they need in terms of assistance, supplies, groceries, etc.  We have been known to deliver a milkshake from their favorite ice cream parlor.  We then can keep the adult children informed, letting them know any concerns that we noticed.  This service has been very popular for the adult children who live out of state.  They count on us to the eyes and ears for them to advocate for the well-being of their parent.

We are not health care providers and do not dispense medication so we provide non-medical assistance.
